Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 July 2026 · highpoints.org

These terms govern your use of Highpoints at highpoints.org. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms.

Service

Highpoints provides an interactive map and searchable database of tall structures (e.g. towers, chimneys, masts) for selected regions. Access may require an account and, when paid access is enabled, a one-time purchase for lifetime access to the full dataset and map.

Accounts

Lifetime access

“Lifetime access” means access for as long as Highpoints continues to operate the service, not for your entire life if the service is discontinued. It is a one-time fee for the current product offering; it is not a subscription. We may update maps, data, and features over time.

Payments and tax

Refunds

Because access is digital and delivered immediately after purchase, all sales are final except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise (e.g. statutory withdrawal rights that apply in your country). Contact kier@highpoints.org if you believe a charge was made in error.

Acceptable use

You may not:

Data accuracy

Structure locations, heights, and types come from third-party and compiled sources (including OpenStreetMap and official agency data where noted). Data may be incomplete or incorrect. Highpoints is provided “as is” for informational purposes — not for navigation, engineering, aviation, or safety-critical use.

Intellectual property

The Highpoints site, compiled dataset presentation, and branding are protected. Map tiles and underlying open data remain subject to their respective licenses (e.g. OpenStreetMap, CARTO). Your purchase grants personal access to use the service, not ownership of the underlying data sources.

Availability

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, outages, or discontinuation may occur. We may change or remove features with reasonable notice where practical.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Highpoints and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on map or database content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you paid nothing).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Disputes shall be subject to the courts of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence if you are an EU consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes may be noted on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
