v1.39 - October 2026

  1. A new face — ink and verdigris replace the brass atlas. The buy page shows the map and the register side by side, and the map has a guide for search, the register, and why you do not climb.

  1. A new atlas face — the public page, map chrome, and register now use the field-atlas look: ink, brass, and a serif title. Same map, same account, same lifetime access.

v1.37 - September 2026

  1. Map display — in Account settings, pick Clusters or Dots. The map opens on Clusters. Each country has its own dot color. The eye button in the top-left hides spots.
  2. Cluster counts — numbered bubbles group nearby structures. Tap one to split it, or open a list when they sit on the same place.

  1. Map clusters — bubbles are spread across the view instead of piling up in dense countries, so Romania, Spain, and similar areas stay filled in.

v1.27 - August 2026

  1. Installable web app — add Highpoints to your home screen from the browser. On phones, Install uses the system prompt when the browser allows it; otherwise it shows steps for that browser (Safari, Brave, Firefox, Samsung, and others).
  2. Android map — gray empty map tab should load tiles again (service worker was intercepting basemap requests).
  3. Satellite map — satellite view now includes roads, place names, and borders, not just bare imagery.

v1.26 - August 2026

  1. Removed in-app Feedback widget - account Feedback panel and admin Feedback tab are gone. Use Contact / Discord for support.
  2. Preview gallery - denser product screenshots, country coverage list with type counts, click-to-enlarge.

v1.25 — Security update — August 2026

  1. Map data no longer ships as downloadable JSON — the map requests only what’s in the current view (bounding box), so paid users can’t pull the whole database from a few “Open in new tab” downloads.
  2. Viewport loading — zoomed-out views use density clusters; zoomed-in views load individual structures only when the visible area is small enough (capped), with rate limits on data APIs.
  3. Data table — region lists load in pages from the server instead of downloading an entire continent file at once.

  1. Map place search — the map Search box can jump to a city/town (e.g. Milan) or pasted coordinates, not only matching antenna names.

  1. Discord link — contact and invite links now use dsc.gg/highpoints.
  2. Map clusters — nearby structures no longer stick as an unexpandable cluster at full zoom; overlapping spots open a short pick-list instead.

  1. Paid account layout — lifetime members now see Feedback, Status, and Contact side by side on desktop (stacked on phones).
  2. Feedback & bug reports — send feedback or report a bug from the account tab; check replies in History. Admins can mark reports read or answer them in the new Feedback panel.
  3. Europe height cleanup — cleared several bad heights that were ground elevation (ASL) or bogus mobile-tower tags, including false “400 m+” Spain/Ukraine-listed entries.

v1.20 — Important update — July 2026

  1. App themes — choose Light, Gray, or Dark from the Data or Account tab (Gray is the new default).
  2. Map styles — switch the basemap under Filters → Map style: Streets, Light, Dark, Satellite, or Terrain.
  3. More obstacle data — about 27,000 new structures added across Europe, plus thousands of missing or updated heights (large Switzerland refresh from official sources).
  4. Map and filter polish — clearer labels, better mobile controls, and theme-aware map colors.
  5. Security hardening — HTTPS/HSTS headers and a published security contact at /.well-known/security.txt.

  1. USA, Canada, and Mexico now appear correctly as countries in the map filter.
  2. States and provinces moved into the subdivision filter (no more “Unknown” for Canada/Mexico).
